More than 200,000 people contributed more than $31 million to the The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, organizers announced recently on its Facebook page.
Students at The Varnett Public School donated $6,000 to the fund last month.
The Facebook announcement said in the month after the disaster, $4 million have been allocated to organizations on the ground in Haiti providing relief, recovery and rebuilding assistance.
The organizations include the Habitat for Humanity, Concern Worldwide U.S. and International Medical Corps.
