Varnett's teachers trained this week on how to use interactive white boards, a large display that combines a white board, computers and a projector.
The Promethean boards are designed to bring a classroom to life because anything displayed on a computer screen can be projected onto an interactive whiteboard.
The boards will be put to use at all grade levels as a major interactive tool for learning.
