While Varnett students had a day off Friday, teachers and staff were hard at work sharpening their skills during District Professional Development Day at the Northeast campus.
The day featured sessions on lesson planning, Guided Reading, collaboration, content and assessment preparation. The presenters were specialists in reading, instruction, math and science. The afternoon sessions were held at the individual campuses.
The students will rejoin teachers and staff on Monday!
