Greetings Varnett Parents, Friends and Community Members,
I would like to take this opportunity to say that I am honored and excited to have been recently appointed by the Board of Directors to serve as the interim superintendent of The Varnett Public School District.

I have pledged my commitment and support to them, and I extend that same commitment to staff and parents to ensure that our children reach the highest levels of achievement.
Allow me to tell you a little about myself. I am married and we have two adult children -- a daughter and a son -- and seven grandchildren. My experiences as a father have helped shape me as an educator and leader. My professional experience includes 38 years in public education and over a decade as a private educational consultant.
I deeply believe in a quality and comprehensive education for all students. I take it very seriously that students have been entrusted to our care, and together, we are to provide a rigorous teaching and learning environment that encourages every student to grow intellectually, emotionally, and socially.
The Varnett Public School District has a proven record of success, and I applaud and support our teachers and staff as they work together to meet the needs of our children.
While the campus directors will continue managing the daily operations of their schools, I will be visiting the campuses often.
Every employee is expected to be accountable and to continue to perform at the highest level with our focus being targeted on safety, teaching and learning every day.
It is my hope that with the support of parents and the community, we can help all of our students become caring, productive, and successful citizens.
