Dear Parents,
On February 1, 2023, your child will bring home a copy of the State of Texas 2021–22 School Report Card.
This report is required by the Texas Legislature and prepared by the Texas Education Agency. It is to be sent to the parent or guardian of every child enrolled in a Texas public school.
The report provides information concerning student performance on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®), as well as information on student enrollment, class size averages, and financial expenditures for your review.

In addition, The Varnett Public School will hold a public hearing on the 2021-22 Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) at 4:30 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2023, at the Varnett Public School Southwest Campus, 5025 South Willow Drive, Houston, TX 77035 in the cafeteria.
The purpose of this meeting is to review and discuss the achievement performance of The Varnett Public School. Publishing of the annual performance report has been posted on The Varnett Public School website (TEC B39.053). The public hearing may also be viewed virtually through the district’s Google Meet’s link provided below:
