Today was the last of school for Varnett students as they head for summer trips, swimming lessons, camping, stay-at-home time and summer school.
East Campus celebrated with its annual Fiesta and the Northeast Campus had fun outdoor activities. It was an emotional scene at the Southwest campus where students and teachers exchanged goodbyes as the buses began taking the children home.
Speaking of buses, school bus signups for 2011-2012 for East, Northeast and Southwest campuses are as follows:
August 18-19
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Signups will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parents who signed up their children for 2010-11 MUST sign up again for 2011-12.
