Students, staff celebrate Hispanic Heritage Week, Oct. 10-13

Students, teachers and staff may come to school wearing Hispanic-oriented costumes according to the following schedule this week:

Monday -- Colombia
Tuesday -- Puerto Rico
Wednesday -- Honduras
Thursday -- Mexico

Hispanic Heritage Week was first observed under President Lyndon Johnson in 1968 and was later expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover a 30-day period starting on September 15 and ending on October 15.
