Congratulations to East campus, which had 100 percent student attendance today!
"Students tend to miss Mondays and Fridays so this is a big achievement," said Ms. Gayle Voltz, the campus director. East has 364 students.
The goal for The Varnett Public School and each of its campuses is to achieve 98 percent student attendance. "Our parent liaison, Ms. Leidy Martinez, is our secret weapon," Ms. Voltz said. "She contacts the parents on a daily basis to ensure that their children come to school."
Dr. Margaret Stroud, Varnett's superintendent, extended her congratulations to the East campus!
